From a young age, I knew I loved listening to and sharing people’s stories. That passion became a reality when I joined South Salem High School’s journalism program on The Clypian's Social Media team and the South Salem Yearbook team. With my love for people and organization, joining Yearbook my junior year felt like a perfect fit. However, the class that has had the greatest impact on my high school and journalism career is News Production. Since stepping into that class the second semester of my freshman year, I have never looked back.

Journalism, especially through social media platforms, has given me the opportunity to tell stories and report on topics that matter—not just to me, but to the entire South Salem community. Through The Clypian, I have been able to showcase student life, cover major events, and provide insightful reporting, all while strengthening my skills as a journalist. Sharing what life looks like for South Salem students through a journalistic lens has been an incredibly rewarding experience, and I look forward to continuing to inform, engage, and inspire others through storytelling.
